We’ve released our 2025 Sustainability Report, bringing together the progress we’ve made over the past year to reduce our impact and improve how we manage waste across Aotearoa.
It’s a practical look at where we’re at and the work still ahead.
Over the past 12 months, we’ve focused on the areas where we know we can make the biggest difference. That includes reducing emissions, increasing resource recovery, and continuing to invest in the infrastructure and systems needed to support better outcomes at scale. This work is happening right across our operations, and it reflects consistent effort rather than any single initiative.
A big part of that focus is shifting from simply managing waste to recovering more value from it. Across our network, we’re improving recovery rates, developing new pathways for more complex waste streams, and working with customers to reduce waste at the source. It’s all part of building a more circular approach, one where materials are kept in use for longer and less ends up in landfill.
What sits behind this report is the day-to-day work happening across our teams. From operational improvements to better data and new recovery initiatives, our people are focused on solutions that work in the real world - for our customers, our communities, and the environment.
There’s no finish line when it comes to sustainability. This report reflects meaningful progress, but it also recognises there’s more to do. Reducing emissions, improving recovery, and strengthening our systems will take continued focus over time. That’s what we’re committed to, doing the work, and doing it well.
This report has been shaped by contributions from across our business. A special thank you to the many teams across Enviro NZ turning progress into practical action every day.
