Weaving in a bit of holiday cheer | Enviro NZ

In the spirit of Christmas, Enviro NZ wanted to bring a little holiday sparkle to the community.

We choose to support Woven Earth- a charity that creates loving homes for family violence survivors and their children.

Woven Earth repurposes excellent quality second-hand donations and transforms empty houses into homes. Very #EverydayEnvironmentalist!

Woven Earth supports parents, and their children establish a new life among other communities.

We put a call out in our corporate office for new and gently used gifts. We received over 40 presents - from toys to lovely accessories...something for everyone in the family!

One of our staff went the extra mile and shared the story of Woven Earth with her children. This encouraged them to go through their toys and pick a few to share with the charity.

We had a wrapping party for the mum gifts - with donated wrapping paper! The children's presents were left unwrapped so parents could choose a perfect gift.

Two of our staff members brought all the gifts to Woven Earth along with the extra wrapping paper. It was perfect timing too, as they were setting up a house for a new mum and her baby.

It doesn't take a lot to spread joy and make a big difference during this season. It may seem like a small gift from you yet could make a big impression to someone in need.
