Changes to bin services & transfer station hours over the holidays
Enviro NZ wishes all our customers safe and happy holidays.
With the festive season upon us, public holidays will impact some of our services. Please refer to the guide below for any changes in your area.
If your branch, resource recovery centre, fill site or commercial facility is not included below, please call them directly.

Customer care will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day & Day after New Year’s Day.

- Thursday 26 Dec - Only General Waste and High-Volume Recycling Services will be operating, all other services will be collected on their next scheduled collection day
- Friday 27 Dec - Our office will be open and all services will be operating. Any General Waste and Mixed Recycling customers that were closed on the public holiday will be caught up on this day
- Wed 1st Jan and Thu 2nd Jan - Only General Waste and High Volume Recycling Services will be operating, all other services will be collected on their next scheduled collection day
- Fri 3rd Jan - Our office will be open and all services will be operating. Any General Waste and Mixed Recycling customers that were closed on the public holiday will be caught up on this day
Dunedin
Office will be CLOSED– 25 & 26 Dec and 1 – 2 Jan

- Wheelie Bin Collections
- Collections due on Wednesday 25th December will be done on Tuesday 24th December
- Bins to be collected on Boxing day 26th December will continue as normal
- Collections due on Wednesday 1st January will be done on Tuesday 31st December
- Bins to be collected on the 2nd January will continue as normal
- Front Load Collections
- Collections due on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th December will be done on the 27th and 28th December
- Gantry Collections
- No collections from 25th– 27th December and 31st December – 3rd January, unless booked before 23rd December
Nelson
Office, Huka & Chemical Collections will be CLOSED 25 & 26 Dec and 1 – 2 Jan
- No Front Load or Wheelie Bin Collections on 25th December
- All services will operate as normal.
New Plymouth
Office will be CLOSED 25 & 26 Dec and 1 – 2 Jan.
Otorohanga
Office will be CLOSED 25 & 26 Dec and only
- All services will operate one day later from Christmas day ( 25th will be collected on the 26th , 26th will be collected 27th and the 27th collected on the 28th )
- The recycle centre will be closed on 25 Dec, 26 Dec and 2 Jan.
Palmerston North
Transfer Station CLOSED 25th December and 1st January
- Collections due on Wednesday 25th December will be done on Saturday 28th December

Rotorua
Office will be CLOSED 25 & 26 Dec and 2 & 3 Jan
