Changes to services over Christmas and New Year's

Enviro NZ wishes all our customers safe and happy holidays.

With the festive season upon us, public holidays will impact some of our services. Please refer to the guide below for any changes in your area.


Branches

Ashburton

  • Office will be closed – 25 & 26 Dec 2023 and 1 & 2 Jan 2024
  • Frontload Services - will operate during the Xmas period 26 Dec – 30 Dec and 2 Jan – 6 Jan
  • Gantry Services – will cease from 23 Dec and resume on 4 Jan 2024.


Auckland

  • Office will be closed – 25 Dec 2023 and 1 Jan 2024
  • Frontload Services – Will not operate on the 25 Dec and 1 Jan, any collections scheduled on either of these days will be completed the following day
  • Gantry Services and Huka Services – will not operate on the 25 Dec 2023 and 1 Jan 2024, any collections scheduled on either of these days will be completed on the following day
  • Scheduled Commercial Handybins will be completed as normal
  • Garden Wheelie service will operate one day delayed between 25 Dec – 6 Jan 2024.


Christchurch

  • Office will be closed – 25 Dec & 26 Dec and 1 Jan & 2 Jan
  • All services – Any services for Christmas day will be done on Saturday 23 or if closed caught up on the 27 Dec

    • Mon 26 Dec only General Waste and High Volume Recycling Services will be operating, all other services will be collected on their next scheduled collection day
    • Wed 27 our office will be open and all services will be operating. Any General Waste and Mixed Recycling customers that were closed on the public holiday will be serviced on this day
    • Mon 1 and Tues 2nd Jan only General Waste and High Volume Recycling Services will be operating, all other services will be collected on their next scheduled collection day
    • Wed 4 our office will be open and all services will be operating. Any General Waste and Mixed Recycling customers that were closed on the public holiday will be serviced on this day.


Dunedin

  • Office will be closed – 25 & 26 Dec 2023 and 1 – 2 Jan 2024
  • Gantry Services will not be operating on 25 & 26 Dec 2023 and 1 & 2 Jan 2024
  • Frontload and commercial handybin services will not be operating 25 Dec 2023
  • Residential Handybin services will not be operating 25 Dec 2023 – these services will be moved to Saturday 30 Dec 2023
  • Residential Handybin services will not be operating 1 Jan 2024 – these services will be moved to Saturday 6 Jan 2024.


Gisborne

  • Office will be closed - 25 & 26 Dec 2023 and 1 – 2 Jan 2024
  • No services will be operating on 26 & 27 Dec 2023 and 1 & 2 Jan 2024.


Kapiti

  • Office will be closed – 25 & 26 Dec 2023 and 1 – 2 Jan 2024
  • Monday 25 December – No collections. Please have your bin out Saturday 23 December
  • Monday 1 January – No collections. Please have your bin out Saturday 30 December.


Masterton

  • Office will be closed 25 Dec – 8 Jan 2024
  • Wheelie Bins:

    • Due for collection on Monday 25 Dec will be done on Tuesday 26 Dec, all other days will operate as normal
    • Due for collection on Monday 1 Jan will be done on Tuesday 2 Jan, all other days will operate as normal
  • Frontload:

    • No collections on 26 Dec, normal collection 27 Dec – 30 Dec
    • No collection on 2 Jan, normal collection 3 Jan onwards
  • Gantry Services:

    • No collection on 27 Dec – 30 Dec, normal collections will resume on 3 Jan.


Nelson

  • Office will be closed 25 & 26 Dec 2023 and 1 – 2 Jan 2024
  • All services will operate as normal.


New Plymouth

  • Office will be closed 25 & 26 Dec 2023 and 1 – 2 Jan 2024.


Otorohanga

  • Office will be closed 25 & 26 Dec 2023 and 1 – 2 Jan 2024
  • All services will operate as normal. The recycle centre will be closed on 25 Dec and 1 Jan.


Palmerston North

  • Office will be closed 25 & 26 Dec 2023 and 1 – 2 Jan 2024
  • All services booked for Monday 25 Dec will be completed on Saturday 23 Dec
  • All services booked for Monday 1 January will be completed on Saturday 30 Dec.


Taupo

  • The office will be closed 25 & 26 Dec 2023 and 1 – 2 Jan 2024
  • All services will operate as normal with the exception of Christmas day.


Tauranga

  • Office will be closed – 25 & 26 Dec 2023 and 1 – 2 Jan 2024
  • Gantry services will not operate on 25 Dec – 27 Dec and 2 – 3 Jan
  • All other services will operate as normal.


Timaru

  • Office will be closed 25 & 26 Dec 2023 and 1 – 2 Jan 2024
  • For our commercial customers Frontload services will not operate 25 Dec & 1 Jan
  • Huka services will not operate between 24 Dec to 8 Jan.


Tokoroa

  • Office will be closed 25 Dec – 4 Jan.


Waikato

  • Office will be closed – 25 & 26 Dec and 1 Jan & 2 Jan
  • Gantry services will not operate on 25 – 26 Dec and 1 – 2 Jan
  • All other services will operate as normal.


Wanganui

  • Office will be closed 25 & 26 Dec 2023 and 1 – 2 Jan 2024
  • All services booked for Monday 25 Dec will be completed on Saturday 23 Dec
  • All services booked for Monday 1 January will be completed on Saturday 30 Dec.


Lower Hutt, Porirua and Upper Hutt

  • Monday 25 December – No collections. Please have your bin out Saturday 30 December
  • Monday 1 January – No collections. Please have your bin out Saturday 6 January.


Wellington

  • Monday 25 December – No collections. Please have your bin out Saturday 30 December
  • Monday 1 January – No collections. Please have your bin out Saturday 6 January.

  • Closed 25 Dec, 26 Dec and 1 Jan.


Onehunga (Pikes Point) - Auckland

  • Closed 25 Dec and 1 Jan.
